Just thought I would share this morning. One of the most beautiful sculptures I ever found was in a small shop in the Phillippines. Being a prediminately christian nation this was a very rare find and had been in the shop a long time so I saved up my travel funds for weeks to buy it.
I was so fond of it that I brought it home and immediately gave it away as a gift. When I visit and see it I am reminded of the joy of finding it, the trips to the shop to mull over how I could afford it. I recall the wonderful shop people I met and formed friendships with. The trouble figuring out how to fly it halfway around the word. I carried it onboard the plane... babying it. Finally the joy of giving it away.
