Quotes Zen Buddhism

One day someone put awareness into a container. With this container the awareness could connect to the things around it. It was awestruck having saw that the earth was so beautiful. But because of influences around it, the awareness retained its eyesight but lost its vision. It was taught to become more, work for more, strive to gain more, and achieve more. That excess was the key to happiness. So this awareness filled its container with many things it was taught were valuable. It became so full that it could barely stand. The things it had filled itself with blocked its energy and made it sick. These very things filled its thoughts and took up its time. One day, the pain became so unbearable that it broke down into tears. All of these things came pouring out of it in an uncontrollable flood of tears and drool. After this was done this awareness opened its eyes and regained its vision and saw that the earth was beautiful once again.
